Alhamdulillah, my friends and I have safely returned from our trip in Vegas, Muktamar, and the West Coast; California! :D I had a super duper awesome n splendid time!! Many interesting events happened, many interesting strangers we have met, and I truly enjoyed witnessing the greatness of Allah's creations, SubhanAllah! :D

But the staring part really freaked us out XD

Oh they were all so beautifulllll and you do become speechless when witnessing such greatness :)

Winter Begins

Assalamualaikum! :)

Today, Allah made me very2 happy with His pleasant little surprise ^^

I have been wanting to get this handbag, but the first time I saw it in the store it was too expensive as it was just the newest design at that moment. I decided to wait until the price decreases once a new line of handbags comes along.

Before I know it, I waited TOO long, and the handbag was no longer in stores or even online :( But a few weeks after I bought a new handbag, I saw the handbag that I wished for available ONLINE with a sale!! I was pondering hard on whether I should get it or not because I have indeed just bought another handbag which was also to my liking.

I then remembered that I could return the handbag that I have bought, so *click* I bought the handbag online yayyyy! XD

And yes, I have returned the old handbag and managed to a full refund! Alhamdulillah :)

But alas, the new bag that I have bought would take about 3-5 business days to arrive, which might be on Monday or Tuesday; I will be leaving to Vegas on Tuesday. I didn't fret much because I knew I had finally managed to buy the handbag I've been eyeing on and that is already more than enough :)

So without much expectation, I suddenly received a box today; and it was my handbaaggg waaahhhhhh :D :D Alhamdulillah, it arrived much more earlierr and I am thrilled to be able to use it for my trip!! :) :)

So I returned the old handbag when me and Kak Ada (my housemate+senior ^^) went to get Ecah from DC as her graduations is today and she'll be returning to Malaysia very2 soon! Congratulationss Ecahhh! :D We managed to drop by an outlet in Hagerstown and got last minute stuff for my brother and stuff that my friend asked to get :P and etc2~

I managed to shop in 1.5 hours and got:

- 2 shirts for my bro

- 3 handbags for friends

- 1 watch + 1 wallet for friend

- returned 2 handbags

and yes, I think that is a big achievement since I was RUNNING to get everything before the stores close at 9pm! XD

oh and btw, Ecah's house in DC was sooooo prettyyyy!! LOved the design and coziness it gives! :)

I also managed to spend a little bit of time with Chelsea and had a Gilmore Girls marathon haha XD Received a sweet card from her+her housemates! :) happy holidays Chelsea! :D

sorry2 for the very late update! I have indeed been very very busy this Fall semester :)

Alhamdulillah, I am officially done with the first semester of my senior year :)

SOOOOSOSOSOOO many things happened in this semester alone!! XD And I'll be relying heavily on the pictures that I have collected over the semester to recall what I have been doing this Fall. So enjoy! :)

it's an unlock phone I got from eBay for around $350 :) at first I wanted to get the Xperia Mini with the Qwerty keyboard, which was about $200+ with 5Mp camera. Then when the iPhone 4S came out, I realized that I really like to take a lot of pictures using my handphone. Then I suddenly came across a GOLD xperia ray with an 8Mp camera instead. *click* terus beli haha :D n is loving it up till today! :)

- First time experience calling 911 for real :D because our neighbor had smoke coming out of their house and our house was also filled with smoke :s thankfully no one was hurt and the firefighters came really quickly! I'm impressed :) but also kinda funny when during the emergency call they asked for my name and I said WAN :P (imagine me saying my full name haha)

-Met up with one of my art classes classmate like 2 or 3 years ago?? :D we lost contact and accidentally met each other during an inter-faith conference :) her first words were: "I was just talking about youuu: There's this Malaysian girl who can draw oh so beautifully, and boy can she dance! (referring to Malaysian Night)" hahaha malu2 XD So glad I could meet up with you again Lynn!! :) Such a sweet lady :)

- Got a new laptop: MacBook Pro 13"! :) there was a Thanksgiving promotion on campus: $200 off! So couldn't pass it up can I? N I have been looking for a new laptop for quite some time; much lighter ones and doesn't get too hot too fast. So far it has been great!! :) Battery lasts for quite some time, and I have thoroughly personalized my laptop weeeee XD

- Was blessed to be able to attend Change Begins with Choice :)

Met new friends, and was able to get so much encouragement by Kamran Pasha, that I could indeed realize my dream :) Insya-Allah, 10 years time! :) And the reason why I was so open during this program of exposing my strength, weakness, and especially my ultimate dream (I knew I was pouring my heart out! XD) even though there were quite a few people who attended who I was not 100% familiar with, was because I knew that was the only time I could be transparent without much judgement. And I knew that that was my only chance to get a REAL feedback of myself, and what I will do with my life. This chance may not come along again for a very, very long time. And Alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for giving me that strength :')

-had a rather busy thanksgiving, with 4 upcoming exams and 3 papers to write, with 2 presentations! XD

- Joined the LionDance team of MSC! :D

We practiced almost every weekend, and Mei San is such a great teacher that she taught us almost EVERYTHING! :D Well for me except on how to be the lion because the head is soosooo heavyyy T.T But so far I had the privelege to perform using the cymbals :)

*First performance was an audition for THON, and we got through Alhamdulillah! :D*

*2nd was for UNICEF: Universal Language Event! :)*

*3rd performance: International Awareness Week! :)*

- Did the poster for 421W with my partner Izmer, and we unexpectedly won the best poster! :D Alhamdulillah, it was a complete surprise! Worth the extra effort we put into it! ^^

- Finally got myself a jewelry box!

Always wanted to get one, but either didn't have the time or what I saw was not of what I wanted because I had a lot of RINGS and chunky crystal bracelets :) Found this through Amazon and was at around $90, where I accidentally clicked on a link and found it at around $49. *Click* arrrgghhh aftermathh of black friday! HORRIBLE ONLINE SALE :P but Alhamdulillah, the box is so finely made, with wood like the piano wood and when you open the lid, the drawers open as well! :D (ptotla mahal skit haha XD)

- Took part in THONvelopes, where we decorate envelopes that will be sent to friends who are kind hearted to give donations for kids with cancer :) Thank you very much to these four very special individuals who are willing to give donations!! :D

- First time eating at Babys which is behind McLanahans! not bad, with actually smaller portions than usual ;p

Other events that I had without pictures were that I had the chance to present in my Family Disorganization class (sociology class) on the marriage and divorce rules on Islam, which most of my peers are not well informed of! ^^ Other than the technical difficulties, my oh so kind lecturer said it was a good presentation :') *shiny eyes*

I also had the chance to sort of do speed drawing in front of 500+ people? XD

There's another sociology class that I'm taking which had 'commercial breaks' during the class; instead of just having 5 minutes break, Sam (my awesome lecturer!) let students do performances during that 5 minutes :)

So I inquired whether I could do one commercial break, and Sam wanted me to draw while he is lecturing instead; he said it was for me to have more time to draw on the projector. Well I just agreed with his idea but I had no idea when he wanted me to do this.

So a few weeks later just before class started, he came up to me and asked whether I could draw for the last 20 minutes of classes; he was to talk about politics and tea party (OKIE POLITICS YALL :P)

There I was sitting in front of the class when he introduced me to the class (which I did not think it was necessaryyy aaahhh malu2 XD) and I started to draw while he continued his lecture. He asked the class "Can you concentrate on what I'm saying while she draws?... *short pause* No you can't." and the TA Erik switched the projector off and only turned it on when I finished my drawings hahahah XD *I knew it was a bad idea to just leave the screen on while he lectures*

Soon Erik was helping me a lot on giving me ideas on what to draw (Because u really can't get a lot of idea from POLITICS :P) and when I finished a drawing, Sam was like "I like that. Draw another one!" XD

Alhamdulillah, I think I did my best but mcm terkantoi2 jgak sbb I REALLY HAD NO IDEA WAT TO DRAW until Erik gave me ideas XD Thanks Erik! :)

N yes, ade org later on came up to me and said u were awesommeee aaahhh maluu2 XD Alhamdulillah, this actually do give me more inspiration to be better, insya-Allah! :D

Well I think then this is really IT! :)

Officially done with Fall 2011, just a semester to go before graduation.

One fine day..

It was a Wednesday, and I didn't have to go to lab that day because N9 had Isra' Mi'raj. So I planned to meet up with an old friend of mine who lived not very far away from my temporary 'home' in N9 :)

I remembered waking up in the morning

But was not rushing to have my bath and get dressed as I will always do before my housemates and I head to the lab either by bus or by car.

It was indeed a very relaxing, non-rushing morning.

We planned to meet up in the afternoon, hence I had the whole morning to myself to rest at home.

It was really very cloudy that morning.

I remembered heading downstairs to find two of my housemates, resting at the lounge in front of the tv.

I joined them, and we enjoyed the cool breeze from outside that came in through the sliding door. And it started to rain heavily, which is something that I have not experienced in quite a while since I started studying abroad.

After having breakfast and enjoying the heavy rain, I headed upstairs to have my bath and get dressed.

I was already ready around 11 that day, and my friend texted me to say that the rain might cause 'em to be a little bit late.

I really didn't mind, because I didn't have any important agendas for that holiday :)

So I lay down on my bed while waiting. It was still raining heavily outside, but I truly enjoyed it to the very last bit.

It was also one of the days that I will never forget.

It is because I was not distracted with the internet as I would usually be if I were to finish my final examinations and spend all my time playing the internet and stuff.

But since my 'house' in N9 didn't have any internet connection, I really didn't have anything to distract me from myself, from actually enjoying the silence and peacefulness that I could not have had with all other distractions.

As I lay there on my bed, waiting for my friend to arrive, enjoying the heavy rain, with no internet, no work to do that day..

I fell asleep.

And yes, my friend did arrive later and we had a longggggg chat to catch up on old stuff over lunch XD

But I could never forget the feeling that I had when I was laying on my bed, with no distractions, no due dates, just waiting and enjoying the calm and cool rain that morning.

If that was just a little bit of taste of what it will be like in heaven, oh Allah, I definitely do not deserve such a wonderful feeling and memory, but I will always cherish that You have given this little servant of Yours to feel it :')

Choosing Pennstate

Question was: How did you come to choose Pennstate?

Truth be told, I had never actually envisioned myself to be at Pennstate when I was doing my foundation degree back in my home country. During that one and a half year, we were given the opportunity to choose universities that we were interested to apply at, depending on our majors. Only certain universities were available to us, as we were under scholarships.

So we could only choose 3 out of the many many different universities to choose from, to actually submit our application for. I had chosen Rochester Institute of Technology, UC Davis and Pennstate. Out of the 3, my housemate and I were aiming for UC Davis as it was one of the best Biotechnology universities available in the US. And it also required us to take an additional examination to even get into the university!

SAT 2 was not all that bad, but it wasn't easy either. And the standards that the university was looking for were definitely much higher than our scores.

In the end, I was accepted in both RIT and Pennstate. Even though I was not able to get an offer from UC Davis, I was very thankful that I had two other choices to choose from.

Only then, that I started to seriously consider Pennstate as the university that I will go to get my degree from, as well as RIT. After a lot of pondering, asking my friends and parents opinions, most of them were encouraging me to go to Pennstate. My parents reason was that Pennstate is not as cold as RIT during the winter (my country does not have four seasons, it's summer all year long XD) while most of my friends told me that they were going to Pennstate because their close friends were going there too.

But ultimately, I made my decision to go to Pennstate final was when I seeked guidance and help from Him, and all Praises goes to Him, I received a clear and heart-warming guidance. :)

So there I was, accepting Pennstate. And I am now in my senior year. I certainly have no regrets choosing Pennstate, as I know there are so many things that had happened over the past three years that I cherish that I would not have received have I not chosen to go to Pennstate. I was able to travel a lot with my friends, explore a different part of the world, get to know my religion at a much deeper level as well, and make new and great great friends. And yes, my friends and I didn't know that Pennstate was a 'party school' until we got here XD

All in all, I am grateful to have chosen Pennstate, and I am grateful to my family, friends and Him for all the love and support, and I am definitely looking forward to graduating in the Spring of 2012. I will surely miss Pennstate, and the US as a whole :) It is true that there are many factors and forces that influenced my decision to choose Pennstate. But in everything that happens to us, regardless of whether we choose it to be in our lives or not, has a blessing in disguise. :)

On The Air

Assalamualaikum! :D

So a few weeks ago, my friends and I arrived at KLIA on the 17th of August 2011 to head back to US before our Fall classes begin. Apparently there were more Malaysians on board on that particular flight than what we had expected :p which is a pleasant surprise! :)

Usually, we could book our seats on the plane for our flight hence we get to sit with our friends on the plane. But due to technical difficulties of Cathay's website, we were only able to book our seats for the flight from KL to Hong Kong. The seats from HK to JFK was completely random!

N there I was finding my seat. Thankfully I got the aisle seat; at least I won't need to disturb the other passengers if I needed to go to the bathroom (which we usually do need to do so eventually :P) I find myself sitting next to a nice old Chinese couple, most probably from Hong Kong as we had a transit there for about an hour :)

*okie they weren't that old, maybe around their 40s or 50s :)*

At the very beginning, I could hear the husband 'scolding' his wife on how to arrange the bags on the floor before taking off. I smiled at their honestly sweet little argument :) Then I had to put my handbag in front and below her husband's seat as under my seat was already full. Such a nice guy to not mind my handbag being there for quite a while :D

Then during the flight, as usual we will wear our headphones and scroll up and down on what movies to watch on the mini screens in front of us. Just then, the nice old couple both asked for my help on how to set up the headphones, and even show them how to choose a movie, change the language to chinese, and turn up the volume.

I did not understand mandarin, and they could not really converse in English. So we were really talking to each other in sign language hahahaha :D btol2 mcm ayam dan itik gitu. adoi2 XD

These are the ways you could use to talk in 'sign' language :p:
- How to turn up volume? = take off your headphone, and show it to the other person and shake your head or hand
- How to choose Chinese language = point your finger to the options you desire on the screen
- but please note, once the language changes to chinese, I have NO CLUE how to choose the following other options!!! XD (entertainment or music, etc etc)
- To choose a movie = point finger to desired movie
- To choose subtitle options = please wait for me to refer back to the ENGLISH version :P

There were times I tried to talk to the old couple and break the ice. But all I could get were head nods, yes-es and thank you hahaha XD There was this once where her husband went to the restroom, and I tried to talk to the lady and asked her where was she heading to in the US. I think she said Ohio, and then baby? I'm guessing she's going there to visit her children XD She did mention something else in Mandarin, but I had no clue what she meant :(

Then she said that her English~ *shakes head* hahaha that one I understood XD n then I told her "Mandarin, wo puche-tau" (means I don't know) and you could literally see her face lit up and she was laughing all the way. I said I only know wo che tau, wo pu che tau, wo ai ni~ and she really laughed when I said wo ai ni hahahaha :D

What else happened ya? Oh2 since my friends and I ordered the Muslim meal, our meals usually comes earlier than the rest as I think they are already ready-made, and only required heating before serving it to us. And I was eating first with my meal, and the husband beside me was anxiously waiting for his food, and finally turned to me and said "I'm hungry" while holding his stomach hahahahha XD

16 hours on the flight flew by rather quickly I must say :)

But the thing I couldn't forget most was when we have landed safely, and when we were waiting to get off the plane and had taken out our bags from the overhead compartments, the chinese old lady held my hand with a wide smile and saying goodbye and thank you. (for helping with the electronics haha XD) I also can't forget the kindness of her husband when it was late at night, and he asked for instant noodles in the cup for him n his wife to have. Before he ate his noodles, he offered me some very kindly :)

Aahh old chinese couple, I miss you already :) May we meet again, and hopefully I have already mastered Mandarin by that time and could converse with you much much more better than the last time. No more sign language, aite? :)

Summer is over, and classes will begin soon. Finally a senior at Pennstate :) how time flies!

I guess manyyy manyy things had happened throughout summer, and I kind of forgotten what I had yet to write here and what I had already written haha :D please excuse my forgetfulness, but here are the last few things that MAYBE I had not written about my summer :) ;

-finally finished my intern at FELDA :) received testimonial from my supervisor yay!

Hmm I guess that's really it for the remaining days of my summer in Malaysia :)

Alhamdulillah, I have really gotten the most out of my summer! :)
Not only have I gained valuable experience of working in a lab environment (related very2 strongly to my major :D), but I have also gained the chance to live and get a small glimpse of the lives of some of the sisters there.

What it is like to be working without prior college education, how you could be working your butt off but could only get so much of a salary.
Truth be told, even though they might not be some of the richest people on Earth, they are still some of the kindest and friendliest people you could meet :) Truly, money does not equal to happiness or modesty and love.

I also felt quite ashamed, of how my friends and I would complain that once we graduate, we would only get about RM1800 as our starting salary for people of my major. But when I was talking to one of the sisters working at FELDA, they said Alhamdulillah, getting a salary more than 1000 is so much more compared to other previous jobs they had had. Oh Allah.. :'(

and Alhamdulillah, I finally managed to stand up for what I believe in, for the people I love. I no longer stand in silence. Alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for the strength you have given me :') Even though I might have lost the battle, I have yet to lose the war :) caiyok2!

I also managed to realize what the goals of my life are. Though it might not be all that clear just yet, I recognize that I have more important priorities in life now :)

And thank you Ayna, for letting me know that love still exists :') insya-Allah, I will remember your advices. Thank you so much for our date! :)

Sunway Lagoon :)

Assalamualaikum! :)

Yessss we meet agaiinnn :D So last week, my new housemates and I went to the Family Day of Felda :) They sponsored the staff to have free entry at Sunway Lagoon, while if they would like to bring any relatives or children it would have to be under their own expenses :)

So yes, mine was under my own ‘expense’ :P

We were each given the hand ‘band’, and two food coupons :)

Anddd there we go, arriving at Sunway Lagoon as early as 8AM because there were a lot more events and games for that morning :)

Apparently some of my housemates got lost along the way because they have never been to Sunway Lagoon, or even Subang Jaya itself :P and they ended up making a few circles before finally being able to find the entrance to Sunway Pyramid, and finally Sunway Lagoon ;p

So in the morning we had breakfast first; nasi lemak (already prepared for us in exchange for our coupon :D) I didn’t really eat any of it, because I had breakfast before heading to Sunway lagoon :) So the day started off with the opening ceremony, followed by a short performance from Sunway Lagoon crew I think haha n then games for children and adults :)

Some of the games played were musical chair, tug-of-war and other fun games that requires lots of groupwork! :) To be honest, the fun part was watching the adults play games hahahahhak ;p

Then sometime in the afternoon, me, Kak Siti and Kak Shipah decided to go to the dry park first before heading to the waters (ecewah) and we crossed the loonnggg bridge above the waters to get to the dry park :)

THE STAIRS was really2 tall and A LOT :P but the agonizing part was when we were crossing the bridge bare-footed (because we were directly from the ‘beach’ below, so we didn’t bring any shoes or slippers with us :P) and since it was sometime in the afternoon, the sun was nicely HEATING UP the wooden+metal bridge. Halfway through our feet were practically burning and we tried to run across. But as soon as we tried to do so, the bridge started to wobble. SCARY OKIEEEEE T.T so we had to only WALK really2 fast to get to the other side. It was sure a challenge, but we made it yayyyyyy and thankfully there was another way from the dry park to get back to the wet park Alhamdulillah :P :P

Then we tried to go into the Tomahawk ride; where it swings and swings and swings until u are upside-down and swings once again to let u fall on the other half of the circular motion. It was fun but quite hurtful, as u really do hang your body (or rather LIFE) on the safety belts when it stops halfway~ Atoii atoiii :P

All of us felt nauseous and had a little bit of headache after that ride uuggghhh :P and to my surprise, the mini zoo of Sunway Lagoon was actually at the dry park! :D (yes, I haven’t been here in ages) there were tigers, ostriches, bears, birds, snakes turtle spiders gaaaahhh :P but I didn’t really enjoy the mini zoo as I was feeling really2 nauseous, and we headed back to the wet park to get our lunch and eat :) Alhamdulillah, I felt much better after eating yayyy :D

So after lunch, I made Zohor prayers first (there’s a prayer room close to the ‘beach’! very2 convenient! :D) and we finally headed to the waters!! :D yayyyyyy eventhough I didn’t know how to swim, I surely had loads of fun getting wet! XD managed to arrive to the darkest side of the pool too haha XD

Apparently the tudung I was wearing was quite thick, and when it was drenched with water, my hearing became distorted as though water had actually entered my ear (I did spend 2-3 minutes trying to get the so-called water in my ears hahahhaa okie funny :P)

Me+Kak Ruby+ Kak Ina+ Kak Siti +2 anak buat Kak ruby were in the waters :)

Then me, Kak Siti and Kak Shipah headed to the water rides! Managed to get on to two~ the lines were long, but it was moving very quickly so it wasn’t a long wait :D and IT WAS AWESOMELY AWESOME!! XD U guys must try the water rides! :D

N then we headed to the children’s pool; the water was warm! :D and there was also a musical theatre by the pool for children to watch during the show time. It sure was fun to do some dance moves in water; more like splashing water to ur friends haha ;p

Then we headed back to the ‘beach’ for one last dip, and we changed to dry clothes before heading back home at around 4pm :)

On the way out, the security guard had to cut off our hand ‘bands’ and so I raised my hand for the guy to cut it off. While cutting he asked ‘nak balik da?’ n me being so blur at that moment (because everything that was on my mind was getting out of there ASAP before papa arrives, I wouldn’t want him to wait) and I said “balik? oh ha ah nak balik da” n out of the blue, he suddenly said ‘awak ni comel la’ and I dgn sgt tak sedarnya ckp ‘tima kasih’ ahahahaha okie tergelak kat diri sendiri di situ :P but then ntah ape that guy ckp lagi, sumting about kirim salam? I was like uuhh kirim salam to whooo laaa and simply walked off :P cehhhh kalau brani cube la masuk minang enciikkk, comel2 ni tak main daahhh :p

maybe I should really say that the next time someone does something like that :D

So there you go! My ‘Family Day’ with my housemates at Sunway Lagoon, which I have not been to for a verryyy veryyy long time :) I think the last time I went to Sunway Lagoon was when I was in primary/kindergarden? can’t recall hahah XD

Mid Summer Summary

There’s just another month left for summer! :( How time flies aite?

Alhamdulillah, my internship at Felda did start off with a rocky start (mostly because I psyche myself out :p) but everyone was very nice and was willing to help me and teach me, and I am now not as nervous or tension as before, and am actually enjoying my time here! :)

Eventhough my supervisor calls it a ‘hostel’, I think of my temporary home of the staff of Felda that I tumpang as my home/house already, not just a hostle or dorm :) My housemates are also all very friendly and loving, and especially naughty :p They would also give me a ride if there was an empty seat in one of the kakak’s cars, and also accompany me to pasar malam or any of the shops outside if I were to go to one of them to get some stuff eventhough they don’t have anything to get :) how sweet of them aite? :D

I just spent a day with my housemates and labmate on the Felda Family Day at Sunway Lagoon! :D will be updated soon in one of the next posts insya-Allah! ;)

Well, here are some of the stuff that I have done during my summer here back in Malaysia (other than my intern at FELDA :D);

-visited the kids at RACTAR

I managed to visit the kids at RACTAR before I started my internship at FELDA. And oh they still recognize me!! :’) what more one of the younger girls, Nadia, was std 6 I think when I met her two years ago. Now when I saw her that day, I went “YA Allah tingginya!” hahaha she sure have grown taller! XD and then when I sat down with them and had a little chat, I noticed that her voice had also changed! *da matang kn hihihik* and when I told her “Waahh suara pon da lain!! XD” she blushed hahaha XD

I did get some small magnets from Pennstate to give to them, and I also accidentally found some old Australian keychains and other stuff in my drawer (years and yearrrsss of stuff ago :P) and brought them there to give to the kids because I am definitely not using them :) Alhamdulillah, it turns out the keychains from Australia were favored over the Pennstate magnets hahahah pandai jugak diorang tau yg mane lagi mahal :P

One of the girls also managed to quickly ask me add maths questions. I was like “waaahhh lame gila tak buat ni hahahha :P” and hopefully I managed to help her! X)

Didn’t get any chance to go there again once my intern has started, but I’m hoping to be able to see them and Encik Dzul one more time before I head back to the States :) *encik dzul wasn’t in when I came that day.*

Oh kids of RACTAR, I miss you all so dearly! :)

-ate A LOT, visited the new place Empire :D

Since I only go back home in Subang over the weekends, my parents really take the chance to FEED me and bring me to places before I head back to Nilai for my intern on Mondays. Visited Empire which did not exist two years ago :p It’s quite a nice place, not too big not too small. And it also has a lot of restaurants and shops that other shopping complexes do not have *good strategy :P*

-Watched movies, OH YEAAHH :P

So far I’ve watched Transformers, Green Lantern, Super 8 and X-men First Class! Super 8 was A.O.K, but the rest were AWESOMENESS! :P Wanted to watch Kungfu Panda 2 but it’s already limited at the cinemas (the slots of show times)~ Well just gotta wait then :) looking forward to see Harry Potter too!! It’s FINALLY OVER haha :p

I managed to get about a week or two to spend with BOTH my siblings as my bro and my sis’s classes were about to begin in just about a week. So my sis n my bro and I managed to wonder about, go here n there and spend some quality time together! :)

The thing I noticed about them is that yes, abang has gained justttt a little bit of weight :P so did my sis, but dulu my sis kurus kering so now she seimbang hahaha gud2 :p

*We have the same smile. Very obvious ya? :D

2 years ago, my sis didn’t have a driving licence yet, and by the time I came back she was already good at driving Alhamdulillah :D n yes, my bro n sis still ejek me on how slow I drive (well, that was 2 years ago :P) I recently drove my parents to Alam Sentral in Shah Alam to look for tudung, and they quietly complained to my sis about how fast I drove hahaha :P (but truth be told, I tot I was already driving slower than my usual speed XD)

So far I’ve met up with Nina and Fadly. It was the first time both of them drove me to somewhere haha :D went shopping and eating with Nina, while Fadly and I simply sat at McD and chatted for hours (or rather, I listed to his stories? hahaha :P) It’s good to know that you have friends who appreciate you, and do not take you for granted :’)

Oh2 I also managed to ‘serbu’ Fadly’s family’s stall at the pasar malam. Kakak2 wanted to go there, and I actually remembered that Fadly had a stall there so I managed to find his younger brother who looks SO MUCH LIKE HIM :P

oh2 and nenek enchemmm, teori kita yg ckp laki hensem suara tak sedap and laki tak hensem suara sedap masih terbukti sehingga ke hari ini! Ade satu aritu biskot terdengar an unfamiliar voice dlm lab, tp dlm hati fikir OMG suara sape tu mcm org sakit tak sedap hahahha pstu bila tgk muke eh good looking jgak nih :P

he wanted to get my facebook name to add me, but I was doing an RNA extraction (mind you, this is a very sensitive procedure!) so I told him that I will give it to him later (sbb takot RNA contaminated karang I have to repeat the whole thing noooooooooooo T.T)

And I think he misunderstood me and ckp “ok..” dgn sgt kecewa hahahha opssss sorry dude! :P Well if you really did give up too early, you may never know that the doors are actually open for you, so don’t give up! ;)

(okie nasihat mcm tak masuk dgn situation. but it’s true! :P)

-went to FRIEND'S WEDDINGS :D

Izzah and Faz got married to their respective partners, Alhamdulillah! :) May Allah always bless you and your hubby until the end of time, amin!! :)

*I took fries upstairs to chew on some for tea. When my parents saw me with the fries, they brought other stuff from the fridge for me. Surely they really want to make me extra chubby? :P

As I have mentioned, every weekend I will at least go somewhere with my parents and sis, or just my parents if my sis has other stuff to do. Papa is really offering to buy soooo many things for me =.=ll e.g.; phone, microwave, shoes bags and the list goes one (okie, my phone teruk sgt ke? T.T) while mama just likes it if I spend even just the slightest time with her :)

And just to let you know, mama didn’t believe me when I told her I had no boyfriend. (because she asked me the same question like a few days later, followed by no one trying to tackle you ke? XD) and the answer to the second question is also a NO :P Most probably because I am not the type to believe what others say or jump to conclusions (i.e. PERASAN SORANG2 :P) that someone likes me just because he is giving me more attention or gifts. If that person confesses, then only I will believe em haha :P This is a good strategy to elakkn fitnah or ngumpat ey?

And one fineee morning, the unexpected happened. While mama and I were chatting over breakfast, she suddenly said “nnt Yani give me ur email address ya? Maybe I can find someone for you~ like my friend’s sons..” I was like “Sure!” but really in my heart I was like WAAAAAAATTTT?? XD but hey I really don’t have anyone right now, so why not? XD excited jgak to see who mama would choose for me hahahahak but then she said it’s just for me to kenal2, manela tau if really suka then go ahead lah! :) n she said I guess this is wat mothers do now~ (I’m like NOOOOOO! :P)

But hey, I love you mama! ;)

Ohhh yaaaa! My sis n I did celebrate Father’s Day with papa! Bought some small cupcakes and just took some pictures ;)

Even though he’s not perfect, so is everyone else. Sometimes my sis would complain on how protective and ‘over’ caring our father is, but truth be told, I feel so much safer to walk around the shopping complex with my sis and mama when he’s around. No ~~sampah masyarakat~~ guys would dare to even look at me and my sis, what more approach us *or rather heeeyyy cik adik manniss comelnyaa* eee rasa nak tumbuk je! :P You won’t get such care free feeling to walk in public when papa’s not around. I would have to always be on the lookout if I was walking around with my friends/ only with girl groups.

Other than that ~ Papa, I’m a young women laaaa right nowww, so please stop treating me like a little girl can? :P

Balik2 after two years, noticed that papa's janggut has more whites than blacks already. He's surely getting older.

Assalamualaikum! :)

Yeaaahhh we meet again! Sorry2 for the late update :p Been very busy since I got back home! :D This is because as soon as I arrived home, I only had about less than a week to spend time with my family, to settle things for my intern as well before I start doing my intern! XD

Well to cut things short, Alhamdulillah I received the opportunity to do my internship at Felda Biotechnology Center, in Bandar Enstek N9! :D Since I was indeed all the way in the US, I only received my offer through e-mail, and I was told that housing will be provided~ Then when I arrived home at Subang, I called them to ask for the housing address and they said that the housing was full. I was like WAAAAaattttt XD And I had to start my intern right away as my supervisor, Mr.Tan, wanted me to do the internship for at least 3 months. Thankfully, he was lenient enough to let me still perform the internship yayyyy Alhamdulillah! :)

(Okay, that wasn’t short :P)

Soooo the story is to be continued bwahaha :P Because.. First things first! I managed to surprise my parents with my return home :D My friends and I took a shuttle to JFK airport, and arrived at Hong Kong 16 hours later, and finally to KLIA! :D Btw it was my first time in Hong Kong! :)

When we arrived at KLIA, my luggages were one of the last to appear isshhh :P But when I got to the place where my siblings will be waiting for me, they weren’t there yet (tak jadi nak nangis drama2 wahahaha :P) so I waited for quite a while. Soon I thought that I should try to call abang or Aida~ and yesss I only had RM50 and RM1 cash :P HOW TO MAKE PHONE CALL LEHH!! XD and when I wanted to buy maybe a drink from burger King or rather dinner~ *RM13+++ per set* I was like WAAAaaattt??? XD

Soon I found myself stalking abang2 staff KLIA that were around the area to exchange my RM1 to coins kahkahkah :P But before I managed to attack one of the pakcik2, I saw my brother looking at the flight screen~ most probably looking for my flight :D I went running to him with my trolley of begs to surprise him from behind~ Suddenly someone shouted “akak!!” and I saw Aida on my left! :D soon we hugged and I hugged my brother first because I saw a video camera in Aida’s hand n I was afraid that she will drop it if I hugged her unexpectedly hahahaha :D

Then yeaah we head back home, but we had dinner at McD before that. Oh the nikmat of McD NUGGETSSS XD

Then we headed back home to surprise mama first because papa was working that night :D Well my siblings said they were off to play badminton~ And I must say my sis is the better actor hahahaha :p

When we arrived home, my sis was suppose to be recording the surprise from the kitchen, while my brother was in charge of bringing mama downstairs :D

Ma: *tak penah2 anak aku tanya nak buang sampah ni mesti ade ape2*

Ma: HAH???

Me: (OMG ABAAANGGG) XD

(I was hiding at the lounge downstairs, where if you were standing at the stairs you couldn’t see me:3)

My bro was already at the lounge, while my mom was at the stairs.

Ma: Ni kenapa ni senyum2???

OMG ABANGGG issshhhhhh :P

N then mama saw me, and I salam and hugged herr :D the first thing that she said was; “Yani?? How? How come??” hahahahahaha mama2 XD

Alhamdulillah mama takdela terkejot teruk~ I was worried at first of making a surprise. Old folks kaannn, must be careful haha XD

Then we did fairly the same thing with papa :D I hid in my room and opened the room door when papa came back home from work :D

Mama said she slept well that night, as she knows all her children were at home that night :)

And I could say that those few days, my parents LITErALLY FED ME XD

Okay putting my weight gain aside, mama n my bro accompanied me to find where Felda Biotech Center was in N9. With the use of google map and GPS, we managed to find the place Alhamdulillah :D met Mr.Tan and Kak Milah for the first time, and thankfully they agreed to help me find a housing. But I had to berulang-alik from home to my practical place for about a week before being able to move into my new housing :)

*actually it is a much longer story, but Alhamdulillah I got free housing from Felda~ stay kat umah2 staff FELDA :D

I must say, da lame tak call kakak2 by KAKAK2 :P and at the lab Kak Milah calls me Ili, while others call me Wan. At the house, my housemates call me Yani. Sometimes I get confused myself with so many names hahahaha XD

But you can’t help but enjoy (or rather be stressed :P) when you made a mistake and your supervisor goes “Waaaaaaaaaannnnnn!!” XD

Here’s just what I have experienced at the beginning of my summer. Lots of things had happened that I will share with you soon, insya-Allah! :D

Grad Dinner 2011

Assalamualaikum! :)

So this year's Grad Dinner by MASAPSU was organized by my batch (bersemangat nih nak organize for our dear seniors! :D)

So right after Finals, we were up and about for the Grad Dinner! :D

One idea came after another, and Alhamdulillah our Grad Dinner was a success I must say! :D wlupon byk cabaran n dugaan tak diduga n tergolek2 once in a while, we all managed to pull it off well! congratulations guys!! ;) n congrats to our graduating seniors! We will all miss you dearly :(

First off, I agreed to perform for our dear seniors during GD :D and yes, I did NOT SING :P I tried something new instead! I decided to do a 'speed drawing' performance! :D

Details about the performance will soon be unraveled, so please be patient :p

So on Thursday right after Finals, I headed downtown to buy the drawing stand (they call it sketcher Bar apparently ;P) and also the biggest SketchPad I could find in the store. I also looked for a marker pen; I could only find either a small marker pen (kan the sketchPad besar :P) or a REALLY HUGE marker pen with a SQUARE tip (yes literally, it's not even the slanted side one mcm pen Khat). So I went with the huge pen haha XD

I did ask at the counter whether they had any student discount or some sort, and the lady asked if I was taking any art classes. I said I had one about a year ago, and she simply gave me the discount haha XD (so rakan2 yg da amik art class, u r still eligible for discounts at Uncle Eli's :D) N when i asked whether she wanted to see my Pennstate ID, she said oh no need to, I trust u~ awwwwwwwwww XD

Then we had a meeting on Thursday evening for last minute stuffs on GD~ we agreed to have 'dedication' cupcakes where anyone could order cupcakes to be given to their friends :) and Izzat who was working on the video for tribute to seniors asked if I could play piano while the video is being played~

*honestly my mind was really saying 'Why not just put a song clip into it??? XD*

tp betul la ckp diorang, if play piano more terharu n tears could be expected? XD

I agreed to do so, and my friends pon bersemangat nak nyanyi ramai2 along with the piano and the video :)

Then Friday and Saturday came~ my housemates n I + Auni worked on making and wrapping the dedication cupcakes for our seniors :) Apparently we were short on the wrappers and ribbons, and our efficient progress was not so efficient anymore :p We were rushing before 4PM (gotta be there early to help set up stuffs, especially my piano stand and the sketcher bar)

So Alhamdulillah we managed to make it to the hall (Nittany Inn) with all the perfect cupcakes baked by Boo yayyy! :D

I started setting up my Sketcher bar and the piano seat, and tried to help anywhere possible :)

Unfortunately, my photos that I thought was to be used for an example of the calenders or photo yearbook to be sold, it WAS SABOTAGED GREATLY GAAAAAAAAHHHHH :P but the intro video was certainly worth a compliment~ Cis mu Izmer! :P

Then we finally started off the night :)
Seniors came in with their names announced, along with the handmade flowers my friends made wohooo :D N dinner started!

The food were AWESOMEEE AND KENYANGNESS pursueddd :P we had Shrimp appetizer, mushroom soup (bukan can punya, like it was made from scratch!) and Chicken Chop wohoo boy was it hugeee :P

Then I was first in line to perform waaahh nervous2 XD And oh please bare in mind I DID NOT PRACTICE for my performance gaaahhhh T.T because right after finals I was really busy with everything else, and I however did manage to practice a bit for my piano performance (sbb I did not have any sheet music for the music I had chosen to play, so it was actually COMPULSORY to practice this one ;P)

With that being said~ Here was my plan on what I was going to draw for the 7minutes songs that I have compiled:
- 1st drawing: A guy with luggages in the airport about to fly (come to Pennstate :D)
- 2nd drawing: Fall season where a guy holds a leaf
- 3rd drawing: Winter season
- 4th drawing: Graduation

Here are the parts I kantooiiiiiedd :P
- 1st drawing: as you may have noticed, there was no luggages in sight and the airplane I drew didn't look like one ish :P
* explanation: Since I did not practice at all, I was not used to the SQUARE tip of the HUGE marker, and ended up drawing larger in scale than what I had in mind. So no more space to draw luggage, gaaaaaaaahhhhhhh :P

-2nd drawing: the guy behind was supposed to be holding a frisbee
* explanation: DID NOT PRACTICE
*can u see the small disc the guy behind is holding? haha tak jadiii :p*

-3rd drawing: the guy was suppose to have mittens/gloves since it's winter while holding the mug and the guy behind was suppose to be playing snowboarding
*explanation: same as explanation #1~ draw larger in scale than planned, so NO MORE SPACE to even draw the mittens hahaha :P and I blame the pen for the disapperance of the snowboard which I did not attempt to draw at all :P

-4th drawing: drew something that I did not plan at all hahahahahaha
*explanation: same as explanation #2

So there you goo! My speed drawing performance WITHOUT PRACTICE :P so next time insya-Allah I will PRACTICE FIRST :P

Right after my performance, Sab tiba2 asked me to explain each of my drawings one by one (OH-OH :P) and I only did mention about the airplane yg tak jadi :P for the 2nd and 3rd drawing someone did ask who was the guy behind~ and I said oh ni orang je hahahahha ;p

Then came Hadi's performance, where people would read out scripts that would imitate some of our seniors, and the audience would have to guess who they were (even though the answers were quite obvious ;p) and of course, there were LOTS of prizes hooraayy! :D
Loved the part when Q played the role of our Kitchen Kecik hihi ;p

Then it was time to pray for Maghrib prayers at 8pm, so we prayed and continued with our event at around 9.45pm.

*dessert vanilla ice cream and strawberries! :D supposed to be cheesecake, but they couldn't find anymore for me haha then offered ice cream instead ;p*

Then came the dessert, and the video TERJAH/TERKAM by Boo n crew, and it was awesommmeee! :D mmg mcm video yg serang2 orang at the red carper hahaha ;p cepatla upload kat youtube/facebook korang! Tak sabar nak tgk again ;p Good job guys for the very quick video! :D

N then there was a 'Jgn Lupa Lirik' by Boo, and they managed to get some of our seniors to sing hahaha ;p Prizes again! :D

Then came the time for us to sing ramai2 with the piano~ apparently we did not have an extension so the piano was set at the side instead hahahah sorry2 guysss :P N then Sab announced for the juniors to come up front and sing 'Kenangan Terindah' by Samsons together for our seniors :)

And so I sat at my piano, turning it on and waiting for everyone to get up front and stand behind me. Suddenly, one of the guys tripped on the power cord and the plug literally came off O.o As soon as I got to the plug, there was indeed a part of the plug where a piece of it could come off. But due to the accident, that piece could not be hooked back on the plug T.T At that time I did not worry about the damage on the plug, but I was more worried on the performance itself.

I quickly asked my friends (there was a band that will be playing at the end of the event) whether I could borrow their guitars and quickly tried to remember the chords. When I tried to play the chords on the guitar, it didn't sound right gaaaaaaaahhhh T.T

While I was attempting to play the song on the guitar before the performance actually starts, some of my friends were suddenly calling me and saying that 'Piano dah ok!' I was like REALLY??? :D

Rupa2nya one of my seniors (Nas, thankkk youuuuuuuuuu :D) quickly took a tape and taped the piece of the plug that came off and apparently it worked! HOYEAAHH! :D

I quickly sat back at my seat and started playing the song :)

And yes, TERKANTOI2 playing the chords hahahah sorry2 rakan2! XD I think some of my friends while singing could detect the wrong chords and maybe even sedang berkerut2 dahi :P

N the tribute video to seniors started to play on the screen as soon as we started our song. And when my friends finished singing the song with the chorus and all, I looked up to the screen and THE VIDEO WAS NOT OVER YET :P so there comes the improvisation that I literally MADE UP ENTIRELY :P tambah2 a few chords here and there and we repeated the chorus again.

Once the extra chorus ended, I looked up at the video and it was STILL NOT OVER aiyooooo I was like 'Izzaattt bila nak abis niiiiiii????" XD so I improvised further until the video finally came to an end, and my friend told me I could finish up the song (YAY FINALLYYY XD)

Then it was Gokun's band's turn to perform, and surprisingly their lead singer had a nice voice hahaha ;p

And our Grad Dinner ended with a bliss :)

Alhamdulillah, the event was a huge success and most of our seniors and we were very happy and satisfied :)

Alhamdulillah, there goes my third year here in Pennstate. One more year to go! How time flies.. :)

Well, here are some of the things I've done (after the last blog post haha) for the Spring semester!

Went to RIT's Malaysian Night
- It was awesommmeee :D
- Same theme like last year's Malaysian Night, drama type incorporating many2 performances :)
- keta peti sejuk merah. gaaaaahhhh org tgk dowwwhhh :P
- balik2 switch cars sbb nak stay with Gee! 2 yearss++ tak jumpa :)
-sanggup ni pinjam2 baju gee n pakai baju gee n mintak berus gigi baru wahahaha XD
- sooo happy dpt jumpa gee yayyyyyy :D
- rumah diorang very2 bigg!
- pillow talk at night yayy :)
- gee masak ayam kurmaa, cedapppp waahhh terharu2 :D

- Was a candidate for VP, but Muru won and Q is our new PRES! gogogooo caiyook koranggg! :D :D
- ATE A LOT MUAHAHAHA
- So much left overs, packed some back home for bekal over the weekend :P

Last Soc300 Class :(
-Played a game with the strings
-TA n lecturer asked if anyone had a knife or scissors, and I said 'I do!'..... 'I have a scissors, not a kniffeeee' n everyone laughed aaahh malu2 :P
-Had very sweet comments from friends awww :) You make me smile too you know! ;)

2 Weeks b4 Finals+Finals
-Had 3 presentations
*for presentation must dress appropriately! :)*
-Nutrition Presentation : 50 minutes, with 3 group members, dpt topic which was lecturer's forte huuuuuu T.T n dipuji tudung+for having colorful n interactive slides bahaha :P
-Soc 110 presentation: only for 5 minutes, struggled to talk less and talked selaju mungkin :p
-BIOTECH 459 : started off with cartoons bahaha :P had only 12 minutes to present though with questions to ask the class
-AT LEAST 4 LAB reports due
-hw, quizzes
-writing assignments
-had 5 finals hoyeaaaaaahhhhhh
- First day of finals ade 2 finals + 3 lab reports due, tergolek2 doowwwhhh T.T
-Then studied the other 3 finals the day before or that morning itself wahahaha XD

Can't believe that I am officially done with my junior year! Going to be a senior soon... Or I AM already a SENIOR! O.o Fuyooo2!!

Oh2 had to model for grad night poster promotion too. First time modeling, n first time pakai mascara! (okie, kak Ada yg make up kn me, so not really my first time doing it on my own :P) had difficulties as tak byk pon bulu mata n my mata sepet rupanya kah kah :P n I tak pandai modeling rupanya~ sorry izmer! XD

*when Izmer suro pakai mekap, I was like "oh,... okie" hahaha sbb takde brg2 makeup how leeehh :P ni pon pinjam housemate2 punya haha XD

On March 12th, 2011, I finally turned 21 on that Saturday :)

fuyoooooooooooo da tua daaaaaaaaa OMG!!!!!!!! XD
Alhamdulillah, I am still alive to this very day to be grateful to Him of all the things that He has given me! :D whether gud things or bad things, I know all of them were indeed from Him for my own good, as He knows best! :)

Celebrated my birthday a few days later when Kak Ada n Izzati nak blanje me mkn cupcakes :) tankiu2 very mucchhhh!! sayanggg koranggg :')

Nak give a summary of my 21 years of living mcm sgt susah hahaha (wlupon pelupa) but maybe I'll try to for only the past 5 years aite? ;p (apela yg dia merepek niii)

Well, I know that I have changed a lot since I graduated from high school. The high school memories with best friends (nenek encheem yg terencheemm, milash, lianna n ramai lagi :D) were awesome! Can't wait to see them all again, insya-Allah :)

So were my experiences in INTEC and so far, my 3 years of living here in the US :)

For the past vs the present, I was:
timid, shy, would be so terrified of public speaking n often fumble on my words, be so negative, ANTI-SOCIAL :P, penakot to speak up, had my heart broken (lelaki2 yg dahulunya tidak berguna wahaha ;p), fashion sense masih sdg diusahakn sbb dulu tomboy-ish :P, low-confident, cry alot. ape lagi? :P

Bknnya nak ckp that I have achieved 100% the opposite of my past, but I know that now I am:
less shy (to friends that I already kenal, they wud understand :P), actually enjoys public speaking sbb that's the time when we have the chance to speak and people actually listens to you, more optimistic (still negative at times haha), KURANG-ANTI SOCIAL :P da lagi reti cakap MELAYU wahaha XD nak speak up tu still a prob at times, n fashion sense takdela sgt cun, but going more to tutup aurat n look pleasant, insya-Allah ;)

(ehh mane pergi part last2? heart broken lagi tak?)

CISSSS mengkantoikn diri sendiri di situuu :P

For the few last parts, I know that I have changed thanks to Him :)

By being more thankful to what Allah has given me, I am more thankful of what I have, and for who I am :)
Of course I will never be perfect. But what does 'perfect' actually means? If perfect in the eyes of the world and the media of having the perfect face n body, I would not want to go there. If perfect means being close to Allah and doing good and preventing evil, loving His Prophet, then that's where I am heading :)

But indeed, we are all at the mercy of Allah. Only He knows what 'perfect' is in His eyes. ;)

Oho with that being said, wlupon now I'm kinda chubby2 (okie not kinda, sgt chubby :P) and ade byk scars on my hands (accidents di dapur :P), jerawat2 menari2 di muka DAN MACAM2 LAGIIHH :P I am still so very much thankful to Him, and I AM HAPPY :)

Sometimes, we would focus too much on our flaws that we have (contoh: my chubbiness and scars), until we forget the rest of the things that we have that are so beautiful that He has given us. (tangan masih ada, kaki, muka sempurna, akal masih ade, mata pon, sihat walafiat, cukup makan)

So why be depressed on the one/two flaws that you have, while you have so much other gifts to celebrate? :) Alhamdulillah! :)

Yup2 I admit that I still have many flaws n sikap2 buruk to perbaiki ;p but to get there, we could either have the road filled with low confidence and sadness to improve ourselves, or the road filled with hope, confidence and faith in Allah that He will help our niat to be a better person,

to be a better daughter, friend, sister, niece, grandaughter, and future wife n mother (insya-Allah ;D)

and of course, to be a better Muslim! :)

Alhamdulillah, I know that whatever happens, He knows best and it is for the best of me, insya-Allah :)

I've been giving my heart to the wrong people. So now, I give my heart to you Allah, because I know You have created it, so You won't break it like they have :')

Ooohh yaaa! My birthday fell on the same day when my friends and I were attending the Leadership program in DC. So dgn berjayanya takde kat dc really knew that my birthday was on Saturday, n I think ade org tau later psl facebook :P

Then came Sab on Sunday morning during breakfast time (tgh makan2 with my group members kat meja group masing2) n wished me eppy bepdayy aww so sweet of her :D n I said tankiu, tp ckp la it was yesterday haha XD n then she said yay I'm finally 22~ then found out I budak lompat hahak :P N then one of the guys in my group overhead our conversation, pastu tanya sape punya bepday?

N sab ckpla it was mine. N tiba2 that guy started singing loudly HAAAPPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUU~ I was like OMGGGGGG shhhhhhhhhh XD Then the WHOLE rOOM started singing happy birthday! Adoiiiiii segannyaaaaaa XD then came the part to sing the person's name kn~ that guy said 'Happy birthday.... WAN ILIANI' hahahaha boleh tergolek2 gelak2 kat situ! XD

Then Mr. Fabion pon dtg tanya sape punya bepdayy, and ckp kenapa tak bagitau?? XD hahaha ye laa, takkan I want to come to a room full of people and say "TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!" XD Segann sungguhhhhh adoi2 XD

My family also sang to me through the phone few days before my birthday, sbb mama takot tak sempat nak sing for me as I don't call home everyday. Sgt lama tak dgr my family sing happy birthday. Sob2 literally had tears in my eyes when diorang nyanyi :') I miss u all so muchhh! tankiiiiiiuuuuuu :')

Spring break: Delaware+DC

Cepat sungguh masa berlalu, and class has started once again (sob3 :P)

So here's what I've done during the Spring Break, alongside with multiple papers due and readings to be completed :P

- Sister's Potluck! Best2 sgt meriah :)
- Went on a 2nd family trip with housemates to Delaware!
- Dpt bilik hotel yg sgt murah n besstt! besar plak tu! This time there's 2 beds, and even a lunch :P
- Dekat sgt2 with the beach! but windy~ sgt sejukk gaaahhh :P
- When we arrived malam2 n carik seafood restaurant.. The town was DEAD. AND I MEAN LIKE TAKDE ORG LANGSUNG kat tepi2 jalan!
- Apparently shops closes early (at 7pm) during winter. isk3 ;p
- Went to have breakfast at a diner, sgt sedap :D

- pegi shopping kt outlet yg sgt la besarr jarak dia :P
- Bought lots of stuff I was looking for! :) yay2!
- Antaranya: sports shoe yg feminine skit, gold watch, shades, baju dress ijau that wud match my tudung ijau (beli tudung baru tp takde matching baju boleh tak? :P)

- School bag! sbb my old school bag punya skin was coming off (tragis sungguh :P)

- mkn at seafood restaurant~ Big Fish Grill kot! veryyy sedappp :D
- jakun with the tables yg dilapik with sort of like big mahjong paper, and siap disediakan crayons on the table for us to conteng2
- we went mad :P

- the foods were awesome! high gila makan :p

- had crab cake. nyum3
- drove back home :)

Few days later, we spent the weekend at DC for a leadership program :) fuuhh penuh sungguh my spring break! (mind u hw2 semua tak siap lg bahaha)
- bertolak on Friday morning, smpai Holiday Inn

*nice room! for 3 people, tapi ade 2 je :P*
- had dinner at the embassy
- program started on Sunday in the hotel itself. Very convenient! :)

- Sgt2 best! Mr. Fabion was amazing :D
- He's a Malaysian that has stayed here for more than 20 years :D
- Isteri dia sgt comel! reminds me of mama :)
- We were divided into groups: mine was group 5
- had fun games too :D
- learned a lot about the four quadrants of our brain too :) got to know your own brain a little bit better!
- then there was this little competition to present one of the 21 laws of leadership. sape2 menang dpt the book of that 21 laws :D
- our group got the Law of Empowerment; A leader is a person who is not afraid of sharing his knowledge with others, even though the others might be more successful than he will be in the future :)
- so buat psl steve jobs, and we did a mini sketches and explained briefly for each sketch :)
- Mr. Fabion said our group used the most unconventional way, mainly because takde powerpoint langsung like other groups :P

- but even so, it was memorable yay! :D
- in the end got in top 2 with group 8, but we received the books yayyyy team 5! :D Alhamdulillah! :)

- Mkn2 throughout the program at Kebab restaurant near the hotel. Buffet style, sedappp :D

Sister's Potluck

Assalamualaikum wbt! :D

At the beginning of Spring break, the girls decided to have a potluck on Saturday.

Hence memasak2 ramai2 di umah n pegi makan2 :D kak ada buat pulut kuning, i made butter cake (yg terlebih bakar haha) and izzati made popia sambal.

Ate soooosososo muchh! Alhamdulillah :D

Also had loads of fun trying out the guitar hero game; first time trying to play the drums. Always wanted to try it out to sort of like find out my drumming skills, bahaha :p but I didn't do so bad to my surprise :D

N also sempat main one song of DDR. malu2 sbb dikantoikan I played DDR kat east halls :p dulu2 main kat umah je after spm hahaha ;p

A.C. Revisited

Assalamualaikum! :)

Few weeks back, my housemates and I went on our very first 'family' trip!! :D It was certainly exciting as we seldom travel together due to other plans with other friends all over this continent :)

Lo and behold, my housemates planned to go to Atlantic City for the weekend to get away from their exams that week XD
I was hesitant at first to follow them on their trip as I did have an exam and other homeworks the following week, but when Izzati told me that we never had a trip with our housemates, I found myself trying my best to make it to that trip! :)

So off we went to Atlantic City on Saturday night, and reached at Rex Motel to spend the night. We planned to wake up earrrlllyyy in the morning and go shopping on Sunday, and head home in the evening (gunakan masa sepenuhnya haha XD)

The motel was...... Shocking :P hahahahah cuak gila okie bila baru2 sampai, because it was very2 dark and we intentionally drove pass it because the place (at one glance) nmpak mcm motel yg crime rate itu amat tinggi kahkah :P But when we turned back to take a 2nd look, it wasn't all that bad.

But the room was not all that good either hahak XD It was a very2 small room, with one SINGLE bed, microwave, bathroom yg very2 small, and I saw a cross hanging right above the door in the room.....
YES We slept on the same single bed; all FIVE OF US. I am amazed that I didn't fall off the bed since I slept at the very end of the bed (mind you my leg was literally hanging off the bed the whole night :P) and the toilet was clean, but scary. hahahaha :P and oh yes, I do sleep secara sgt ganas, so it was definitely a surprise I didn't fall off the bed that night :D

Even so... Alhamdulillah, ade tempat berteduh malam itu :P

The very next morning, we quickly mandi and checked out of the motel (tak sabar nak keluar from their, trauma2 XD) n yup, I only brought up the cross that was hanging over the door in the morning. Because don't they hang those stuffs to halau hantu or something? OKAAYYY SCARYYYYYYYYYYY XD

So bertolaklah kita ke outlet2 di Atlantic City! :) managed to find a very cheap parking space~ before that we 'recharged' at McD, and parked and shopped until 6PM :P dptla makan halal chicken over there; Crown Chicken. Mmg sedapppp waaaahhh terharu2 :D oh2 dpt juga solat in the surau there~ second time visiting this surau :)

Well, I really literally did not buy ANYTHING XD just temankn my housemates shopping, sempat jugak terTIDO at one of the stores while waiting :p (I was actually studying and sitting down while waiting for my friends. And *TUP* the papers fell out of my hand sbb tertido hahahaha kantoi je :p)

Oh2 and at one of the shops, I was just looking at some dresses until one of the salesgirl suddenly said 'hi' to me, and I simply said hi back with a smile. I continued browsing the dresses, until she suddenly asked me if I was a muslim :D I said yes, and she said so is she, and she is from Morocco! waaah2! :D excited skit hahaha XD

Then borak2 a bit with her, when she suddenly asked me: "Do you know chinese?"
I smiled and just asked her "why do u ask?"
Apparently she asked sbb she said I looked chinese. I was like waaaaaaaaattttt?? XD

Well, maybe she's like 1/100 people who do say that I look like a chinese within one glance :P cisssssssssssss :p

Before going back home, we had dinner at Malacca restaurant! mmg Baba Nyonya restaurant hohoho :D And I was so curious whether they kenal mama ke tak, unfortunately they didn't. But the food was delicioussssssssss!! Kenyanggg sgt2! :D

We soon head back home, and Alhamdulillah slamat sampai umah! :)

Even though I went home empty-handed as in I did not purchase anything at all, but I surely did not go home empty-hearted as I enjoyed our little 'family' getaway :) (is there such a thing as empty-hearted? hahaha ;p)

Second time visiting Atlantic City though. First time I came by we only went sight-seeing, and had no idea those shops were part of an outlet rupanya. hohoho :)

Long week

Assalamualaikum! :D

Had a really long week this week.. and yes the week is not even over yet bahahaha XD

Well had a rough time with exams, n as usual tak ckop tido haha XD n I found out who the culprit is for that 20 points question!! gaaaaaahhhh kejamnyaa TA yg comeelll ituuu!! XD

After golek2ing due to exams, had the usual SOC 300 class on wednesday evenings and talked about interesting stuffs once again! :) after the class has ended, we were required to stay back (I think it's not only me haha) and check in with either the TA or lecturer for just that day.

When I met up with Sheffy, she started off by asking how I was doing, n moved on to saying don't worry, you're not in any trouble or any sort.. (Me: Okie now you made me think~ AM I IN TROUBLE??)
hahaha~ but soon she was asking me how I was doing in the class and conversation, and specifically how do I feel about the class, as I was kinda like the minority~ it is the West meets Middle East class, n I'm just a muslim from southeast asia hihi XD But then she said that I have a very important voice too in the group, as I represent (or rather proof haha) that Islam is not only in the middle east, and should not be only associated to the middle east (stereotypes).

I told her that I was actually very2 happy to be in the class! Because I am learning so much from the 'Americans', as well as the Middle East! :) I think just for me, I am gaining double the benefit (insya-Allah) from this group as the more I hear about what they discuss, the more I learn! :) To tell you the truth, I am just as ignorant as the Americans about the middle East! I was glad to know that there are 22 countries just in the middle East!! And imagine how much variety of cultures and in the levels of conservatism there are! It's just so very2 diverse! :D

I am also happy to bring my point of view on our religion (mind you, not all middle easterns are muslims! :D) and secara tak langsung mmg terpromote Malaysia's name because I have to clarify that I am not from the middle east! XD

There was also this one time where we were talking about stereotypes, and someone asked if there was child labor in Malaysia. Mula2 blur2 jgak~ then when my friend told me that child labor is when you force children to work, I was like NOO NOO THAT's NOT TRUE!! XD and then a Chinese guy from China even said he had stereotypes about Malaysia too, but when he came to Malaysia, it was such a beautiful country and the people are so friendly~ Okiee sgt terharu di situuuuuu! :')

Oh2 there was also this time when the Middle eastern students were discussing on how they could recognize faces, and say automatically that they are from Egypt or Jordan, or from UAE or Kuwait or Iran~ and I find that amazing! :D And then our lecturer suddenly asked~ if you were to see Iliani, would you know where she was from? Then the guys said that if they saw girls in hijab but not with middle eastern features, they would automatically know that we are either from Indonesia or Malaysia because that's the other countries that have a high population of muslim. Terharuuuuuuuuuuuu once agaiiinnnn :')

Okie back to Sheffy hahaha XD She was glad to know that I am actually happy and enjoying the class, as she and our lecturer said that I was a little bit quiet at times (I was like oh hahaa)~ I then told her that I am the type of person who likes to listen sampai abis la if someone was talking before I voice out my opinion, so maybe I might be quite sometimes, but that would mean I am actually listening first before blurting out what I have in mind :D And Sheffy told me that I should not feel as a minority or so, and I DO have a voice in this group! :) *Terharu lagi, mane tissue??*

And something funny happened while I was waiting to meet up with Sheffy. I am taking an intro to sociology class with Sam Richard who is amazing! :D and he happens to be the husband of Laurie; my lecturer in SOC 300 haha XD and when the class was over, he was there waiting for Laurie and talking to students. Coincidently his class is right before Laurie's class, and his class is in a big lecture hall compared to Laurie's class~ around 20 people only. Tapi since I am wearing the hijab, mcm obvious gila kot in his lecture class haha XD
N then tiba2 he come up to me (once laurie's class was over) and asked 'You're in SOC 001 right?' (his class), then I said yes and he was like okie n smiled and walked away. Few seconds later he came back n ask 'r u from malaysia?' I said yes and he smiled and walked away again, and I was laughing hahahaha kelakarnya lecturer niiii XD

Alhamdulillah, wlupon tergolek2 dgn exam, Allah tau je how to make me so happy dgn sgt cepat! :) Tankiu2 Allah! I'm very2 happyyyy right now wlupon terkantoi2 dgn exam hihi XD Alhamdulillah :) <3<3

Ice Tree

After facing much difficulty in walking home from Willard after a horrible exam and nyaris2 tergolek2 di tepi jln raya, I looked forward to the next morning to look for the 'ice' trees :)

And I found them! And they were absolutely beautiful! :) *terkantoi tgh tgk pokok smbil jalan dgn kwn. ishhh XD*

It's just too bad that the ice trees 'melted' during the afternoon. But 'rain' was literally pouring from those trees. Subhanallah :)

Winter Break 2010

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.! =)

How time flies! Winter Break is over, and tomorrow is the beginning of the new semester, my last semester as a Junior. Gonna be a senior after summer. AAAAAAAAAAA!! XD

So here are some of the things I've done during the winter break:

-went to cabin beside Ohio river. Awesome view!

-Drove quite a number of hours. SKIDDING IS NOT FUNNY
-Ate A LOT in cabin, sedar diri in muktamar to mrajok with nasi again :p
-the cabin itself is beautiful! :)

-ISK sgt best! :D Knew some of the issues already, but it surely gave an extra 'push' :)
-Main point gained that is very relevant to today: We should not blame the Ustaz and Ustazah in Malaysia for being very 'To the book' n not being more 'understanding' of the true Islam where Islam is actually very tolerant and has lots of benefits to all the rules that it has. This is because back then, these Ustaz and Ustazah were the ones who were trying to protect our religion from even ever existing and being maintained in our society when the colonizers from British, Japan, etc etc came to Malaysia.
-Hence now, it is our turn to teach the society of the 'true Islam', and the understanding behind it now that there are no colonizers to obstruct us! :)
-TAKDE LINE IN CABINN GAAHHH
-Finally found a little bit of service in the car, and at the dining room at a certain corner. Din care when the guys came, was determined to finish talking to family muahahaha
-Went to muktamar in St. Louis at Sheraton hotel
-Nice view once again!
-Tolong jaga budak2
-Not as tiring as wat most people would say, maybe because ade mbak2 conducting the main sessions and we were just helping out
-LOved to see the children make crafts and learn about Allah and Muhammad SAW. Subhanallah! :)

-Nak do such crafts with my own children nnt! :)
-good way to pupuk rasa Cinta pd Allah n Muhammad SAW. kan? :)
-Felt like a mother. *prasan dush3*
-Ate A LOT again
-Nak call family, credit pulak abis DUSH3
-Managed to top up after much hassle
-LOVED Sheikh Omar and Imam Abdul Malik. Amazing talks! :D
-MIssed a few talks sbb jaga budak2, but ade DVD to catch up yay! :)
-Voluntarily jaga bazaar with friends. Chaotic then sbb unorganized :p
-Giving out the DVDs was also a challenge. But we did great! ;)
-saw someone and told mama, n she laughed n I laughed tergolek2
-Went to jalan2 after muktamar was over
-Gateway Arch, very nice view I suppose? :p

-HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CAPSULE!
-St. Louis Uni very cantik! :)
-Balik terpaksa berpisah with ayoh :(
-Alhamdulillah, arrived safely at home :)
-tak abis2 lg pack barang to send to family. sila bersabar yek XD

Goodbye Fall 2010

Alhamdulillah, the Fall semester is OFFICIALLY OVER! =D

How time flies aite? It was like just yesterday that my friends and I were golek2ing sbb exam susah and all XD

Among the many stuffs that I managed to do within this semester are:
- Studied A LOT for 6 classes
- Managed to get better grades for nutrition classes compared to biotech classes. How ironic ;p
- Managed to stop using Clinique, but still searching for the right formula
- Went shopping for Thanksgiving at Philly

- Makan philly cheesesteak, and kedai makcik indon yg mantap :D
- Dua2 kedai makan kat kwsan yg sgt2 ghetto. EXTREMELY TAKOT OKIE!!! XD
- Managed to get EVERYTHING I wanted to get. Alhamdulillah :)
- among them were: shoes, baju kerja, pyrax, jeans, handbag and stuff for family :)

- Got back together with Ayna n Nina after soooo long of not contacting each other!! miss u guysss :')
- Enjoyed Raya, and MASA events especially the games; SUMPIT BERACUN! XD

*second game before Thanksgiving holiday :D*
- Managed to plan for minors
- Enjoyed the snow yg malu2 kucing
- Watched Tangled and Megamind. TAngled wins it, hands dowwnnn XD

- Learned that Allah is SO LOVING :')
- Though my fingers hurt so badly after the accident (sila rujuk tumblr hihi), Allah actually answered my prayers through the pain and hurt. Thank you Ya Allah :')
- Attended majlis2 ilmu; journey Through the Qur'an, Entrepreneurship program
- Got lots of knowledge, alhamdulillah! :)
- My fwens n I bought a van!! Yayyyy :D
- It surely helped us a lot to get around :)
- Finally let go of nonsense (a softer way from mencaruting :P)
- Yes, we do not actually have to deal with people's ketam ;p

I guess that's pretty much it. Oh how time flies! Can't believe it will be January next month! i.e. it'll be 2011!!! O.o Fuyooo~ Will be graduating soon in 2012, insya-Allah! :) Really can't wait actually to be able to finally stand on my own two feet :)

Entrepreneurship Seminar

a few weeks ago, my friends and I went to an Entrepreneurship Seminar held in DC for the weekend, and it was under MARA so our expenses and accommodation were all covered! =D alhamdulillah! :)

Had loads of fun, gained lots of information too to open up a business in the future, insya-Allah :)
Met old friends, made new friends, met OLDD OLDD friend from smksj pon ade OMG!! XD She yg recognized me after reading my name tag~ wahaha such a good memory she has :) n terharu sbb ditegur rakan2 lama sob3 ingatkan da lupa ;p

Hotel room was awesome, 2 people one room and each had a Queen sized bed wohoo! XD

We also had to wear formal attire during the seminar- tried on my suit that I wore when I came to the States...
KETAT di bhgian perut! TIDAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKK XD but still managed to button up kahkahkah :P

Sempatlah jua study for my nutrition exam as well hahahaha XD sempat singgah DC, went to Kopitiam in DC as well! :)

Sumpit Beracun

compared to Kesatria Baju Hitam, Lemak Cili Api, Teh Tarik.. Sumpit Beracun masuklah sungguh yg sewaktu dgnnya :P

Our very first MASAPSu games together in our respective groups was held few weeks back (tak igt tarikh due to bad memory) on a Saturday kot :P And it was a Treasure Hunt game! wohooo mmg bersemangat sungguh our group, lari mcm nak sparuh mati :P (okie maybe I was the only one who ran mcm nak sparo mati :P) among the challenges were:

-take a picture with the oink2 statue
-take a picture of a sentence on the floor in front of the theatre
-take group picture at BJC and Old Main, and at the Lion Shrine

-ajar orang putih ckp BM :P
-make cheer+pantun
-pakai baju2 dress up kot haha
-asingkan beans from rice and make a big circle out of the beans big enough for all of us to stand within the circle :P

-solve math problem and take the picture of busses with 2 diff names; white loop, blue loop, red link, green link etc etc

When we got back to the HUB, we were 1st weeeeeeeeeeee!! :D but then they said they had to have all the pictures and videos n stuff then only we could declare our place as first :) so numbering/placement will not be concluded until further notice ecece.

Had pizza and ice cream later on the HUB lawn. New friends, new adventure has just begun! :)

Raya 2010

How time flies and Raya has long left us during this busy time of the year during Fall semester :)

Though all of us were quite busy with our classes and exams, warga2 pennstate somehow managed to hold soooooooooooo many open houses!! :D Even the newcomers also held one!
This is the very first time that I have attended sooo many open houses held by my friends! Cayalah korang, sedap2 masakan korang semua! ;)

And as usual, we had our own takbir raya the night before the first day of syawal :) Who said being overseas will make us miss the takbir raya? We'll just have one of our own! ;p

This year's raya is also special as it was my first time performing the solat sunat raya! :) It was rather short n quick (haha) n I even thought that the imam made a mistake by doing his takbir again (padahal tu da masuk takbir #2 :P)

Right after solat raya, pergila kelas mcm biasa. Segan2 sbb pakai baju kebaya around campus hohoho XD baju tu da lame anyways, since form 5 ke form4 kot? hahaha still muat nasib baek :P

OHo n that evening, I went to meet my lecturer to ask a few questions about my research paper. When I was done and was about to leave, he commented that I had a nice 'dress' on. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa da la lecturer tu comelllllll hahahaha XD I thanked him and told him about that day being Eid and all, and he knew about it! :D He even wished me that I would have a great celebration awww :)

Mama also ade hantar her many2 cookies (which all of them I looovveee :D) tankiu2 mama!! Even though later on I terkena balik by having to wear the red baju kurung isk3 :P

Ramadhan

Assalamualaikum w.b.t. :)

Since this blog is indeed a place for me to write my sweet 'memories', hence it will always be in the PAST ;p (ramadhan da abis, sob3)

Alhamdulillah, I have managed to meet Ramadhan again this year :) Insya-Allah we will meet again next year. If not, He is where we will all return to :)

Ramadhan this year started off rather interestingly, as my friends and I spent it on the road travelling during our Summer-Fall 1 week break XD We knew that we would be busy once classes starts, so.. Sanggup jua berjalan2 while fasting! XD But truthfully, it was really2 energy draining XD We could hear our feet being dragged as we walked at around 1pm :P

Even so, the trip was awesome (sila rujuk previous entry :P) and how the other 3 weeks of the fasting month flew by!

Ramadhan had been very different for me since I stepped out of the house; since I was in INTEC to be exact! :)Since I was little, the only thing exciting about Ramadhan was looking forward to the big feast that my family and I would usually buy at the bazaar Ramadhan for iftar at the end of the day.

Back then, everyone was at home. So the choices of food we bought vary a lot XD Alhamdulillah, rezekiNya lebih dr cukup :)My family would buka ramai2, and yup everytime would be an iftar we would enjoy very much and sometimes get extremely bloated XD

Of course, another thing I always looked forward to was Eid as well ;p

Then came my time in INTEC. (does this sound like my time in prison? okie2 wrong choice of sentence XD) Due to the convenience of having a bazaar right outside our apartments, getting food for iftar was not hard at all XD

Even though I enjoyed breaking my fast with my friends in a new environment, but I sure do missed breaking my fast with my family :)But then I surely did gained something new by fasting at INTEC. They will have terawikh prayers right at a building just within the apartments itself. (eh2 rindu Akasia plak tiba2 haha)My housemates ajak pegi solat terawikh one night. OH!

I think I did not go with them a few times, but one night I decided to go with them :) Yup2, I was curious to be honest.

That was the very first time I performed a terawikh prayer within the 17 years of my life.

Oh my dear loving friends, you guys are so lucky to be able to perform terawikh prayers wayyyyy earlier than I did :')

My first time performing terawikh~ was of course, rather awkward n nervous! XD Having only the basic knowledge my housemates had taught me on how to do the terawikh prayers, and having no idea what to recite between the 2 rakaats, I managed to do 8 that night :)Since terawikh was very new to me, I didn't perform it every night as it really did took quite some time, and I was also in a very new environment (tak dok asrama b4 this haha) so I think I only did it a few times :)

But it was a small achievement I was happy about! :)Then came my time in Pennstate. (can't find any other suitable sentence XD) Once again, the new environment became an obstacle. However, dgn semangat rakan2 yang ada, we did managed to go to the masjid (ni masa freshman haha) n had iftar there (free food kihkih) and performed terawikh as well :)

Masa sophomore plak, da pindah off campus, didn't get to go to the masjid as much, but then my seniors ade buat terawikh gilir2 kat umah2 orang :) Which I liked so much! XD

Then it was this year's Ramadhan. Still living in the same household, I was still unable to go to the masjid like the previous year. Even so, this year we had buka puasa ramai2 n sama2 gilir2 kat umah masing2, n also terawikh prayers :)
sob3 terasa sgt happy n terharu :) first time terasa such a scenario, kinda like dok kat kampung2 n pegi umah jiran2 berbuka :)

N Alhamdulillah, this year's Ramadhan I did terawikh prayers almost every night (except for the first week sbb berjalan2, n also during 'cuti' argghh) If not with my friends, this year ade semangat lebih utk perform terawikh on my own! :)
Even though performing terawikh only might not be much compared to those who stayed up all night, doing tahajjud and Qiamullail, (fuuhh hebat sungguh kalian! :D) ~I was looking for Lailatul Qadar too.. ^^

Then there was the MASA's iftar n terawikh! As usual, it was a potluck event and after that we performed our terawikh together :)
Masa tgh2 terawikh tu, dengar the imam reciting Al-Fatiha n other surahs.. Oh I felt so touched and thankful to Him for giving me this opportunity. To still be able to fast in Ramadhan, learn the-so many benefits we could gain from it. Learning to do more ibadah, do more good.

Don't get me wrong, I love my family so very very much, and I love my childhood times and would never trade them for anything :) But I wasn't brought up in an entirely Islamic environment. We only did the basics, do good and don't do bad, which is good! :) But we are missing so much on how Islam could bring so much more beauty and peace to my family, and could even bring us much closer than we already are, I truly believe :)

Being able to feel it now, truly made my tears role down my cheeks during terawikh that night. (Oh nasib baek takde org nampak, kottt :P)
Maybe for some of you, you might not understand how I feel :) Some of you might already have performed terawikh almost every Ramadhan since you were little, so it's nothing out of the norm for you :) (ish terawikh je pon, tu pon nak nangis? :P)

Well, I think I cried because I felt very lucky to still be able to feel such a wonderful thing that I have been missing out. Even after so many years, He gave me this wonderful chance. He could have just left me in my previous state of not knowing so many other good things I could do until the day I die. But, He didn't :')

Alhamdulillah. Allah is the Most Merciful, the Most Loving, and the Most Forgiving. :')

While walking to class, something suddenly flew right onto my forehead. I took my hand to get it to know what it was (manela tau lebah ke yg dtg menyengat huwaaaa)

N when I held out my hand with it, rupa2nya it's a small ladybug :) comel je!

N I held out je my hand waiting for it to fly off, tapi tak terbang2. Haish nak masuk kelas jgak ke? XD after a while, it then took off :)

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.! =)

Last weekend (on,,, alamak lupa tarikh XD), me+Izzati+Izzah+Iqbal+Ammar bertolak to Six Flags; the theme park that has the fastest and tallest roller coaster!! :D *woot2*

*on the wayyy wohoo!*

oho we headed off to Rutgers university on Friday night, bertolak around 9 pm =) Alhamdulillah slamat sampai Rutgers at around 12/1am? (BAD MEMORY kicks in) tgk2 rumah diorang waaaaaaaaaaahhhh, comel!! :D btol2 umah sebijik! not like us staying in apartments kat pennstate (not that this is bad hihi)

The guys tumpang rumah Topek (dunno how to spell ur nickname, sorry2 haha) n the gurls tumpang umah Aishah; masuk2 nampak a sofa-bed opened specially for us! wah2 terharuuuu* =')
Aishah is best friends with Izzah, me n izzati kenal2 mcm tu je. Tankiu2 kasi tumpang ya!!! :)

We spent the night there, and head off to Six Flags the very next day!! Bertolak at around 8.30am kot. Singgah Subway makan2 breakfast n bungkus for lunch :P From Rutgers to six flags took about 45minutes je, mcm from home going to KLIA wahahaha *takde kaitan*

Pastu sampai2 the parking lot, tgk2 byk lagi tempat kosong (because we were early hoyeaah!) n from the parking lot itself we can SEE VISUALLY (see=visual=same=please ignore) Roller coasterssss from afar!! =D

Kuar2 from the car trus amik2 gamba sbb excited kahkah :P n then we head off to the main gate!

Marilah kita dengar cerita kelakar Siti Izzati Zulkafli lagi sekalik :D :D
My dear n loving housemate bought our tickets online, sbb klu beli online is much2 cheaper and beli ramai2 pon lagi cheaper!
so we all pon pusing2 to find the place where we can claim our online tickets.

When we asked one of the girls over the counter, she looked at the printed resit that Izzati has brought. The girl then said "this is a Flashpass. You have to buy a separate ticket to get in."
The Flashpass was for us to potong2 line and get on rides really quickly, but we still had to buy separate tickets to get into the themepark.

Okie, honestly kalau fikir balik skang mmg nak tergolek2 gelak wahahahaha :D tapi masa we got to know on the spot mmg cuak skit la, sbb takot ticket mahal n tak dpt masuk macam mane?? haihh izzati2 suke eh buat klaka macam ni? :P

Thankfully, izzati pegi tanye the gurl at the information center/ customer service, and the girl offered us to get the tickets at the online price (which is half from the actual price if you were to buy it on-site) HoYEAH!!

So the grand total was about $50. Which is not so bad as it is the same price as a standard ticket to Hershey's Park, or so I've heard :P Wat matters is, we got the ticket at a cheaper price, and WITH a Flash Pass!

So that is how we managed to ride about 12 roller coasters in less than 12 hours :D :D not to mention I managed to meet my DEAR DEAR DOLPHINS <3 <3 yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! :D

Okie2 smbung with the main story! So we lined up to enter the theme park, and boy was there like a zillion people there! And it was very2 early in the morning too! :D
*please note that the sun was up too. TERBAKAR AGAIN nehiiiii tamo itam balik sbb da putih a bit since midwest!! XD*

Masuk2 izzati went to claim our flash passes, (or flash pass actually hihi) n while waiting, the rest of use looked at the map n planned our trip for the day. And yes, we aimed all the ROLLER COASTERS ONLY :P

Mase tgh planning2, kebetulan we also saw this place very close to us that was sort of like a stadium with pool for dolphins to perform...... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! XD Terus we looked at the performances' time, and there were two: one at 1.30 and the other at 5.30. And we managed to see both wahahaha :D

okie2 then we saved a spot to come back to that same place to watch the dolphins at 1.30pm *falls in love at this moment* n then we decided to ride one mini roller coaster in order to give pak supir a jump-start :P

PAK SUPIR! you owe me sumting because I ended up tercampak2 within my seat sbb duduk sorang2 in that roller coaster :P (you know when it turns, you slide over to the other side violently?) sakit bdn wah2 XD

N then we rode the MANY MANY ROLLER COASTERS:

1. NITRO: kaki hanging in the air. huwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa first time naek this type of roller coaster waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa XD
2. BATMAN

3. BATMAN: The Dark Knight: indoor roller coaster. agak boring haha n kasar okie!

6. SUPERMAN: mmg mcm supermanlah. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

7. Old roller coaster ape tah name :P MMg kasar gila arrgghh
8. Rolling Thunder. old n kasar jgak adoi!
9. El Toro: The largest WOODEN roller coaster. n also the most cuak and very very longgg ride. BILA NAK ABIS NI Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa
10. KING DA KA: The TALLEST N FASTEST roller coaster on earth. huwaaaaaaaaaaa sgt bessshhttt wajib naek!! XD

eh only 10 eh? I could have sworn we rode about 12 rides in less than 12 hours :P

Well the roller coaster rides were awesome! Not to mention how much I screamed sampai the next day mcm sakit tekak a bit :P
oh2 n we also roda this little parachute thingi that brings u up into the air like VERY VERY HIGH UP in the air, n bring u back done gracefully :)

Many people went up the parachute thingi n we had to line up for quite some time before we were able to ride it. One by one we watched people go up in the air and it's sort of like peaceful and it just went up and came down gently.

But when it was my turn to ride the thing... I was screaming+laughing all the way waaaaaaaaaaa tingginya waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaa tolonnggggggggggggggg napee orang lain tak jerit waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa XD *sorry ammar kahkah*

izzati+izzah n especially ammar gelak je tgk me jerit2 n complaining even when I was already on the ground, isshhhhhh :P

we did had dinner n solat maghrib+Isyak at the parking lot, before riding El Toro n King da Ka AT NIGHT. we really managed to make it to the rides due to our flash pass, and we had to hurry because the place closed at 10pm.

After riding all the rides, we just roamed around the theme park that night before heading back to Rutgers :)

Then we spent another night at Rutgers, and headed to Atlantic City on Sunday afternoon!
But before that, me, Ammar n Izzati naek kereta pusing2 Rutgers to find souvenir stores and also buy lunch to bungkus (yg halal, dpt wings hoyeaahh!) but unfortunately, all the bookstores we went to were either closed for the day or did not exist :P

Pegi Atlantic City mmg just to pusing2 n sight-seeing, n we wanted to see the famous Boardwalk; a wooden platform along the beach, which is veryyyyyyyyyy lonngggggggggg n literally along the beach!! XD we all jalan2 that day pon tak abis cover the whole boardwalk!

Managed to see Trump's famous Taj Mahal, n singgah souvenir shops, watched seagulls flying over our heads n ducking *wah2 tamo kena droppings! XD*

We headed back home at around 9, and Alhamdulillah slamat sampai rumah :) Masa balik Ammar yg drive kereta n para2 penumpang borak2 topik2 yg menarik to temankan driver :D Lame2 baru I realized something. Ammar reminds me of my brother :) gaya dia ade la sama with abang. But I think abang is more gila2 with adik2 dia, but acts coolll konoonn with kawan2 dia wahahaha :P miss u lah my brother in Australia! sob3 :P

The Last Airbender + Din2 :P

Last week on Friday night, me+izzati+izzah head to the cinemas to watch toy story3. But when we got there at about 9.20 sumting pm, the guy suddenly said the movie started at 9. whaat?? XD we thought that it wud start at 9.30!

sooo we browsed through other movies available, and ended up watching the Last Airbender.
My friend said that if u watched the cartoon series, u will kinda be disappointed with the movie as the characters are not as funny and cheerful as they were in the cartoon series (serious memanjang hahaha) n the storyline pon tukar2 a bit.
Oh n btw, this movie is just covering the first season. I think overall it has 4 seasons.

Maka ia adalah hampir sama saja dgn harry potter :D whoever read the books would be kinda disappointed with hp movies. and byk plak tu buku dia.

But as someone who did not follow the Avatar punya cartoon series...
WOhooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! cunnnnnnnn wooooo lalalala :D :D The graphics were really awesome, and I really liked the moves that they had (like taichi n all) and they were beautiful!! :D
N I watched it in the normal view, I BET it would be 100X more awesome in 3D because of the many effects!!! wohooooooooooo agaiinnn!! XD
*~conclusion: I like the movie very2 mucchhhh :D

Oh n it was my first time ever going to the movie theaters here in State College ;p

Then on Sunday evening, we meet up with Jo Shan and her son Shamsedin! (Shamsudin)
Her baby boy mmggggg comeeeeellllll waaaaaa n so chubby!! :D :D
But seriously ikot muka papa dia hahaha n he has green eyes waaaahhhh *in awe* but mata dia sepet jgak like his mother hihihi ;p

Had fun meeting up with Jo Shan n Din2!! They're going to move to Singapore soon, hope we can get to see her there! :)
Oh btw, Jo Shan is a very very cute n cheerful Taiwanese lady :D n she's muslim! *woot2!* N she did not became a muslim simply because of marriage, that really inspired a lot of us :D oh2 n her husband is from Tunisia! interracial marriage :) such a sweet couple!! :D n he's a very nice gentleman! :)

On one very fine evening, I was walking towards McLanahan at Allen Street in downtown to look for biscuits and a drink because I was very hungry. :P :P

On the way, when I was just about to reach the corner to turn into Allen Street, I saw a small little girl around the age of 3 or 5 if I should say. She was walking towards me from the opposite direction, and she was holding hands with one of her parents.

No no I'm not a stalker :P But she caught my attention because she was already staring at me from far farr away. I realized that she was looking at me when we were still walking towards each other. And all the way, she was smiling. Awww comelll sungguh!! XD

And when we were about to cross paths, she lifted her other free hand and started waving at me. I smiled and just waved back. I didn't really notice who she was holding hands with but she was sososo adorable! With blonde curly hair too awwww =)

And a few days later, I was heading towards the post office to post our internet bill. I went there early in the morning before class starts, because if I was to go there at noon or so, there be a longgg line XD

Thankfully, I only saw one person at the counter. YAy!

I gave the letter as usual and paid 50 cents n got back 6 cents. Malang sungguh wallet tak cukup 44 cents, byk quarter je XD

N suddenly, the postman saw my harp-shaped brooch and asked whether I played the harp. I laughed and said no :P I think this is the second time someone asked me the same question. I guess I should be wearing a piano or guitar-shaped brooch then? Anyone wanna buy me one? :P

Okie2 n then, he suddenly said that u know, some people told me that one of the hardest instrument to play is the harp, as u gotta go two ways or something. I was like oooohhh really? wow2 I didn't know it was hard to play a harp :D

n then he suddenly said sumting like oh, u're all dressed with jewelry and all, that's very nice! I simply said thank you n after da dpt change I head off.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm yang peliknya, I was wearing green: meng-enhance kn my kulit yg da gelap a bit hahahaha, n I wasn't wearing any jewelry except for my ring! XD

Even so, felt happy that ade org puji the tudung though (because over the counter he could only see my head n my tudung mostly haha)
Pakcik Post Office, eventhough ramai people says U are strange, I think u are simply just unique in ur own way ;)

Fireworks!

On the 4th of July 2010, a day before America's Independence Day, they celebrated it with fireworks at 9.15pm =D

Thanks to Shamilah yg cun n Izatul yg comel, I had the chance to watch the amazing fireworks! Not from home, but lying down on the grass along with other fireworks-audience and watch the sky go boom boomm!

The fireworks were not only pretty, but they even made an effort to shot those fireworks along with the songs they were playing out loud at the moment!

I was smiling allllll the way =) This is my first time ever watching fireworks outside of my house (slalu tgk through windows of the master bedroom haha) and actually lie down literally on the grass to watch it because it went on uptill 10pm! =)

There was also a funfair, but we didn't really played anything as we wanted to watch the fireworks only n i didn't even bring my wallet :P

Just b4 classes for summer started, I managed to buy a bah-see-carl for myself! =P Bkn saje2 gedik2 nak beli, but beli to help aid me go to classes during summer sbb bus white loop takde (okie gedik la juga haha XD)

beli kat walmart for only 88$!! murah2 hihi, tapi campur tax n lock loceng sume jd 100 plus also. But was worth it ^^

*My new bicycle, wohoooo =D*

beli2 trus berbasikal balik from walmart. Since not very familiar with the road, mintak ayoh tolong tunjukkn jalan. Tankiu2 ayoh! =D

Mari dengar cerita kelakar dgn basikal kita ini! XD

otw back, ayoh masuk2 la like housing area to go back home. Turns out the way back byyykkk going down the bukit: bukan bukit kecik2, but bukit yg OMG sgt curaammmmm n panjanggg pulak tu!!

We were going downhill at a speed I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED and my hands were on the brakes alll the time, while ayoh had none at the handle hahak XD

Takot ade, excitement pon ade sbb tak penah selaju itu on a bicycle XD

oh2 and ade also one part where ayoh kayuh laju2, pastu pusing kanan at one selekoh ni... and ade la pokok punya dahan right yg u have to tunduk while riding ur bike.
Ayoh dgn lajunya n smoothnya dptla tunduk when he passed the pokok punya dahan.
When it was my turn.. *smack* okie kurang berjaya di situ sob3 #.#

tp Alhamdulillah smpai umah dgn berjayanya! =D

I think I bought the bike on Thursday, so that weekend I went ronda2 with the bike, want to familiarize myself with the pathways and where I could park my bicycle on campus.
So offff I went, enduring the first small hill very near my apartment.

Naek the bukit at gear 6, and... *klang klung** okie terjatoh di situuuu XD

Not really terjatuh la, it was kinda like where u go up the hill at the wrong gear, end up paddling as hard as u can but the bicycle could not move further up, and to avoid urself from falling backwards u would make urself fall sideways right? =P

But fear nott!! I have managed to work through the gears, and yes it is much easier to go up the hill at gear 2 or 3 =P

Oh2 and I have already registered my bicycle!! It's free, and it's really just to give ur bicycle the permission to park on campus to avoid being towed *I know, it sounds weird* and to avoid getting a ticket of 5$ if I'm not mistaken haha XD

Masa nak register tu, isi2 borang. However, right at the bottom of the form they asked information of my bicycle:

Model: uuhhh..
Type: Mountain bike la kot?
Serial no: UUHHHHH

I asked the lady whether I could leave those blank, but of course she said no *dush3* But then she showed a picture of places on the bike where I could find the serial number!

N thankfully after searching my bike jumpaa la jgak serial number =D but then the model I main hentam je..

Lepas da hantar the form, she gave the sticker with a registration number and asked me to just stick it at the bicycle's seat punya pole..
hmm somehow the seat is at it's shortest length, so there wasn't much of a pole left for me to stick the sticker on haha XD But I sticked it near the seat pole, so that counts I hope =)

Oh2 masa keluar from the office, ternampak the new building that has been under construction since last year if I'm not mistaken. I am really impressed with how fast they had made progress since last year! Kalau compared to back home (no offense) mmg laaa sgt2 lambattt! Especially the bridges yg tak siap2 back in subang haiyaa =.=

I've been cycling to class for almost 2 weeks now. Seksa going to class because campus is uphill from home~ but it's good to arrive in class with ur adrenaline making ur heart go dupdupdupdupdup very rapidly and not to forget that I might be drenched in sweat =P i.e. not sleepy in class yesss XD
Going back home is the fun part, because it's downhill. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~ =D

Hmm wat else ya so far?
Ohhh2 that day ade singgah prime outlet on the way back from JFK airport, amik Izzati and Izzat from there.

Had nothing in mind to look for, but ade beli one dress at 8$ muahahaha and also two cutee little baju, each only at 5$! =)

Masuk kedai Hosh Kosh (kot) tu just nak teman Boo je, but the baby clothes were so adorablleeeee and murah2! XD
Jadi I bought one for a girl and one for a boy.

Oh2 talking about airports, that day ade teman Kak Ada send off one of her friend back to Malaysia. On the way back from the airport, mmg akan lalu some fields, usually corn or wheat I think. They were really beautiful and yelloowww!! XD

Oho that day ade makan kat Corner Room for the first time with Kak Ada n Zawa! The price was not bad, and sedap2 juga the food! =)

What I like the most was the Oreo milkshake!! Really reminds me of Secret Recipe punya Oreo milkshake. Oh2 mmg sedaappppp XD tambah2 lagi they even gave me an extra cup with the extra oreo milkshake yg diorang terbuat. (kn klu bwat milkshake ade extra2, dia bagi jgak! wohoo I think I had 2 cups total XD)

That day I ate for the first time as well at College Buffet yg dekat with Walmart. Sooooo byk ken eat one for their lunch buffet!! Oh myyy got bloatedd really2 one XD
